Days For Girls Kitchener Team
Days for Girls is a global movement dedicated to creating a more free, dignified, and educated world through providing lasting access to feminine hygiene solutions and health education. By empowering women and girls with sustainable menstrual health products, we help them stay in school, pursue opportunities, and reach their full potential.
Our local Days for Girls team produces and distributes over 1,000 kits per year to women and girls in need, ensuring they have access to the essential hygiene supplies that allow them to participate fully in life.
Guild-supported projects receive the encouragement and participation of our members but are not funded by the guild.

Days For Girls Kitchener Team Guidelines
Join the Days for Girls Sewing Group
If you’re interested in making a difference, you are invited to join the Days for Girls sewing group. We meet on the second and fourth Mondays of each month at:
Mannheim Mennonite Church
1494 Bleams Road
Petersburg
N0B 2H0
9:30 AM to 4 PM
Whether you’re an experienced sewer or new to the craft, all are welcome to contribute.
Donations
We welcome donations of the following items to help us create the kits:
100% Cotton Fabric: For shields and bags (bright and colorful designs preferred)
Flannelette: Darker prints and solids (no bugs, faces, camouflage, animals, or words to respect the cultures of the countries receiving our kits)
Panties: Full briefs, sizes girls 10, 12, 14, and ladies small or medium (brightly coloured)
Lightweight Washcloths
Hotel-size Soap
Spools of Grosgrain Ribbon
Good Quality Serger Thread
Monetary Donations
If you would like to support our efforts financially, donations can be made online through Canada Helps. Please select "Days for Girls Kitchener Ontario Canada Team" when making your donation.
