History of the Guild
Founded in 1985, the Waterloo County Quilters' Guild has been a cornerstone of the quilting community in Ontario. For decades, our guild has brought together individuals passionate about the art of quilting, fostering creativity, sharing knowledge, and building lasting friendships.
From our humble beginnings, we've grown into a vibrant community, hosting workshops, lectures, and exhibitions that celebrate both traditional and contemporary quilting techniques. Our members range from beginners to seasoned quilters, all united by a shared love for fabric, color, and design.
Throughout our history, we have remained committed to preserving the rich heritage of quilting while embracing innovative trends and technologies. Our guild not only provides a space for creative expression but also supports various charitable initiatives, contributing quilts to those in need within our community.
Join us as we continue to stitch together the past, present, and future of quilting, one beautiful creation at a time.
