January 2025 Speaker Info – Annie Smith
We are excited to welcome Annie Smith as our January speaker. Annie is a Professional Quilter who loves everything about quilting—the machines, the fabric, the patterns, the books, the shows, the notions, the threads, the techniques, but mostly - it’s the people she meets. She has been sewing since she was 8 years old, and quilting since 1980.
She describes the many hats she wears as: Quilt Imagineer, National/International Quilt Instructor and lecturer, Designer and pattern publisher, C & T Author, Producer of online classes, Quilt Judge, BERNINA Ambassador, Aurifil Aurifilosopher, Cherrywood fabric Ambassador, Creator of "Quilting Stash", the first podcast for quilters. Her expertise is machine applique and the art of colour/fabric selection.
A life-long Californian, she now lives in Texas with her family and loves the “buckaroo” culture. She has ten grandchildren and a golden retriever named Posey.
Join Annie for her workshop, “The 1:10 Quilt Workshop” on February 15, 2025. Please see the WCQG online store for more details and to sign up.
