“The Beauty of the Imperfect” with Jenny K. Lyon from California, USA.

We are pleased to welcome Jenny K. Lyon, as our February speaker. Her lecture, “The Beauty of the Imperfect” will hopefully inspire all of us! The imperfect is beautiful! She will share inspiring and encouraging examples of her work as well as the work of world renowned quilters and artists that are beautiful in their imperfection. Jenny will share her own journey to imperfection.

Jenny is a fiber artist, author and teacher. She uses her domestic sewing machine to create art quilts and wearable art. Her work focuses on free motion quilting on whole cloth and she has juried into international quilt shows, art shows and galleries. Jenny has been joyfully teaching the art of quilting since 2006, and teaches and lectures on free motion quilting wherever she is invited. She claims the title “Encourager-in-Chief” as she believes that every quilter has the skills to free motion quilt some of their own work.

Jenny lives in northern California with her husband and Australian Shepherdess. Her boys have left the nest and she now has a fine 2-room studio.
